For those who still don’t know, I spent last weekend in Dallas, Texas, home! The reason for the lack of notice was to surprise my parents; the only people who knew that I would be in town were my sister, brother and his family.
I was in town interviewing for another position with Hewlett-Packard in Richardson. Ironically, the night before I left to go to Dallas I met with the manager for the group in Colorado Springs and received an offer. Unfortunately, I did not get the job in New York City. I still have an interview next week with Booz Allen Hamilton and Texas Instruments has finally called back so it is also possible I may end up where I started over 3 years ago. We’ll see how things turn out.
I had a great time back at home. It was great to be able to sleep in my own bed, drive my own car, and, of course, play my own Nintendo Wii. That actually sums up the entire weekend.
Here’s some information for travelers:
- The Radisson Hotel in Richardson is not that great. Stay somewhere else. Although, they do have Sleep Number beds, which, now that I have used one, I see no real need for.
- Never, ever, buy a Dodge Caliber! It is by far the worst car that I have ever driven.
